Description
The specimen is a transected testis with attached epididymis and a short portion of cord. The
epididymis has been largely replaced by an area of cystic degeneration. This shows widespread
caseation. A further focus of caseous necrosis is seen underlying the lower pole of the testis within
the thickened tunica vaginalis. The features are those of tuberculous epididymitis.
